The woods of Oakshade had always been strange, but now they felt cursed. Kayla, Zoe, and Liam had barely survived their encounter with the Silent Watcher, the towering owl that ruled the forest. They thought they had seen the worst of it—until the skies began to darken with an unnatural shadow.

Elsewhere, in the neighboring town of Black Hollow, the cursed crow that haunted its forest had taken flight once more. The creature, born of darkness and vengeance, had been biding its time, regaining strength in the shadows. But now, drawn by the disturbance in Oakshade, it ventured beyond its borders for the first time, its monstrous wings casting a vast shadow over the trees.
